Marcus Rashford has boosted Manchester United’s top-four Premier League hopes by returning to training.
England striker Rashford, who has scored 29 goals this season, missed Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Wolves with a leg injury.
“There is good news regarding Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay, who have both returned to training,” a United statement read after Erik ten Hag’s first-team squad trained at Carrington on Wednesday.

“Our leading scorer took part in the session after missing the win over Wolves due to injury.”
Scotland midfielder McTominay is also closing in on a return, having not played since scoring in a 2-0 win over Everton on April 8.
Paris St Germain boss Luis Enrique has described Wednesday night’s Champions League opponents Real Sociedad as one of the tournament’s best sides.
The Parisians will resume their quest for an elusive Champions League title in the first leg of their last-16 tie at the Parc des Princes and Enrique refused to say his side were favourites.
Enrique told a press conference: “Real Sociedad have a tight defence in the Champions League. They don’t give the ball away easily. We will have to press them aggressively.
“They are certainly one of the best teams in the competition. That is why they qualified as group winners.
L.Enrique: It s a time of the season when you have to play the most important matches. You need a calm state of mind. Everyone is convin…
French daily newspaper La Provence is reporting that Marseille are in talks to sign Newcastle midfielder Remy Cabella.
Seeing as star midfielder Dimitri Payet is set to complete a switch to West Ham, OM have identified the Magpies player as a perfect replacement for the France international.
And with Cabella largely struggling to live up to his potential since arriving from Montpellier last summer, there is a good chance Newcastle would consider any serious offer from Stade Velodrome.
Marseille aim to recruit the 25-year-old on a season-long loan, and it remains to be seen whether the Premier League club would be interested in such an arrangement.
After helping Montpellier achieve a shock Ligue 1 win in 2012, Cabella enjoyed two more successful campaigns…
FC Dallas have completed the signing of highly-rated Uruguay youth international forward David Texeira from Dutch Eredivisie side FC Groningen for an undisclosed fee.
Texeira, who joined Groningen from Defensor Sporting in August 2011, has fallen out-of-favour under manager Erwin van de Looi this season, with the 41-year-old preferring the likes of Michael de Leeuw and 17-year-old starlet Richairo Živković.
The 22-year-old Uruguayan bagged a total of 14 goals in 65 appearances for Groningen.
“He’s a striker who finishes, a striker who works extremely hard off the ball and is going to complement what we have already with [Andrés] Escobar, [Mauro] Díaz, [Fabián] Castillo and Blas [Pérez],” FC Dallas technical director Fernando Clavijo said in…
Los Angeles FC star Carlos Vela broke the MLS record for regular-season goals in his hat-trick performance, while Atlanta United s Josef Martinez scored on his return.
Vela shattered the record set by Martinez (31) in 2018 as LAFC ended their regular-season campaign with a 3-1 win over Colorado Rapids on Sunday.
LAFC s Vela surpassed Martinez with 34 goals thanks to his treble against the Rapids at Banc of California Stadium, while he also won the Golden Boot.
Vela broke the deadlock with a sublime opener in the 28th minute before the Mexico international s overhead kick doubled the lead three minutes later in Los Angeles.

Cristiano Ronaldo s humility and attitude towards his Juventus team-mates have impressed Gianluigi Buffon as much as his evident skill.
Ronaldo joined Serie A giants Juve in 2018, bringing to an end a hugely successful nine years at Real Madrid, and won the Scudetto in his first campaign in Italy.
Club icon Buffon has returned to Turin for the 2019-20 season, too, and has immediately been struck by the humble approach of one of the sport s great names.
When I met Cristiano in Turin for training, I discovered a very humble guy, Buffon told reporters at the Festival dello Sport.
I like his attitude and his relationship with our team-mates a lot. Very often, after training, we spend a couple of minutes talking in deep about some aspects of the game.

Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham had a front row seat as star man Lionel Messi put on a show in the Major League Soccer curtain raiser against Real Salt Lake.
The Manchester United and England great flew to Florida for the season opener and will have liked what he saw from Tata Martino’s ambitious team in Wednesday’s 2-0 win.
Messi put in a man-of-the-match display, producing some outrageous footwork, seeing a free-kick cleared off the line and hitting the bar directly from a corner before setting up Robert Taylor’s opener.
The first goal of 2024 belongs to Robert Taylor!
The set-up from Messi and a finish to make it 1-0.

Eddie Howe does not want to be anywhere but Newcastle as he plots a route to lasting success after delivering Champions League football at the end of his first full season at the helm.
The 45-year-old will spend the summer working with the club’s owners and sporting director Dan Ashworth to bolster a squad already enhanced by spending in excess of £250million for the challenges which lie ahead.
In doing so he will have to make a series of tough decisions, but not about his own situation.
A night that will live long in the memory.

Asked if his long-term future lies at St James’ Park, Howe said: “Very much so, there is no other thought in my mind.

Milan go in search of registering five Serie A wins in a row for the first time since 2011 when they host relegation-threatened Livorno.
The San Siro outfit have finally hit form ahead of Saturday s clash and, despite a tumultuous season to date, can still qualify for European football after four successive triumphs.
For a club of Milan s stature – seven-time UEFA Champions League winners – a spot in Europe s second-tier competition is nothing to brag about but it would at least salvage a difficult campaign.
Successes over Fiorentina, Chievo, Genoa and Catania have taken Milan, who sit eighth, to within five points of the fifth-placed Inter, who occupy the last guaranteed UEFA Europa League spot.
Sixth place could still provide a berth in the competition with…
Murat Yakin rued Ivan Ivanov s dismissal and his Basel side s UEFA Champions League elimination, but congratulated Schalke on advancing.
Basel required a point at Schalke on Wednesday to reach the knockout phase, but a 2-0 loss resigned them to UEFA Europa League football.
Severely hindering the Swiss side s hopes was the 31st-minute dismissal of defender Ivanov for bringing down striker Adam Szalai. Schalke duly capitalised on their numerical advantage, with goals from Julian Draxler and Joel Matip within 15 minutes of the restart sending them through as Group E runners-up behind Chelsea.
Yakin was pleased with the way his side started the game in Gelsenkirchen against a side who reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2010-11.
